Pups for sale on the payment plan; racing updates

I've had a few of you ask me for specifics on the payment plan for track ready dogs.
The price is $2800, payments are $300 per month, no down payment is required.
I'll take care of all expenses, will get your dog trained and select the track and kennel for you. All you have to do is collect commission checks.
Life is sweeeet in the Mesa family.

Taylor Swift sent home a 4th place check from Derby Lane in a Grade B for owner Skip Potter
Debonair Diego, Lonesome Cry-Tawmay Rafferty, a Mesa bred dog owned by Helen and Jim Hambleton, grabbed 4th in B at Southland
Winnie Bones, Seegold Big Red-USS Mardigras, a Mesa bred dog, also owned by the Hambletons came back to action at Southland after a layoff. The big girl won a schooler easily and then collected the show finishers purse check
Dp's Blue Moon, Ion No Doubt-Silver Condor, won another Grade A at Flagler. That gives the red female, who is only 54 pounds, purses of $4095 BEFORE this win. Her record is now 27-9-3-3-2
Silver Condor is now owned by Mesa Racing thanks to my friend George Heise. Watch for her to be bred as soon as she comes in season. I'm leaning towards Kiowa Sweet Trey but will consider others as well.
Mesa Adellphia, Trent lee-Jr's Sable, managed a 4th in Grade B at RT. She is owned by Jim Jackson
Mesa Changes, litter sister to Mesa Gina and Mesa Delite, demonstrated that she liked the moved to NFM by handily winning her first race there in the Bill Ross kennel. Changes is owned by John Reedy

Racing updates; Happy 4th of July!!

Happy 4th of July to you all and especially to the fellow veterans out there!!
It takes extreme sacrifices to maintain our independence and those of us who served understand that better than most.
When I made Sergeant in Viet Nam my platoon got me a gift because it was also my birthday.
I smoked cigarettes back then and the gift was a beautiful Zippo lighter...you remember those, right?...well, it was inscribed with my name, rank and unit on the front. On the back it said: "you have never lived til you've almost died. For those who fought for it life has a flavor the protected will never know"
It was a wonderful sentiment then and still rings true today.

Mesa Tempo, Tempo Petrocelli-Mesa Cyndi, closed up to 4th in his TC 660. The youngster, owned by Jim Jackson, had a chartwriter notation that said "collided first, strong try".
Mesa Changes, litter sister to Mesa Gina and Mesa Delite, scored a 4th at Mardi Gras for owner John Reedy
Wuddacuddashudda, Lonesome Cry-Mary Lee Walker, won a TB by 3 1/2 at SOKC. The Mesa bred dog is owned by Norm Rader and partners.
Mesa Guide, Trent Lee-Jr's Sable, picked up a 3rd in Grade C at Wheeling
Mesas Advantage, owned by Frank Bean, now has a record of 30-8-6-7-4 at VL. Stakes and Grade A races are the majority of that record. race at Palm Beach. The

Delite wins at Dubuque; Gil's Maryland 3rd in 770 stake round at Orange Park

Mesa Delite, Puppy stake finalist at Palm Beach, found her racing room in a Grade B contest in Iowa.
The Stans Boy Flyer-Karmic Destiny daughter had the chartwriter note "ignored much trouble"
Those are the sort of comments a breeder likes to see. It basically means that in selecting this particular sire and dam I did my job.
Delite is owned by Frank Bean and races for the Rader organization
Gil's Maryland, Trent Lee-Jr's Sable, a MESA bred dog, grabbed the show finishers purse in a 770 yard stake qualifier at Orange Park.
Maryland is owned by Steve Gilster and Dave Cottle and races for Gilster's kennel
Debonair Diego, Lonesome Cry-Tawmay Lafferty(half sister to Trojan Cruze), won his Grade C race at Southland. The big lad surged at the wire to claim his win. The chartwriter called it" flew ahead, late midtrack". Diego is owned by Helen and Jim Hambleton of Solomon, KS

Gumshoe email me; racing updates

Mesa Gina exploded around the turn and claimed a Grade B win for owner Bruce De Gilio. I had told Bruce from the time he bought her I was sure she'd make a Grade A dog. She has the speed and drive, just needed to grow up a little
Mesa Budget won another Grade A for owner Joe Wilson. It's a shame she isn't winning those at a track that would allow her mama to count them for the Dam Standings
Mesa Tempo, proving that distance is his game, closed up to 2nd in a C 660 at Palm Beach for owner Jim Jackson of ROCKdale, TX. I called it Thirndale last week. Rock, Thorn, I get so darn confused   LOL

and Mesa Gumshoe's owner: send me an email for that request. I don't have your email on this computer
I don't have any of the red brindle pups you asked about right now but do have some of those spotted ones you like

Congrats to Bruce; Racing updates

Congrats to Bruce De Gilio on his purchase of Mesa Dress Up, the Oshkosh Slammer-Dress Up female currently being trained by the Hays familiy in Waco.
The reports on the youngster have been excellent as she is in the Top 5 of all pups being schooled there.
She, along with her two littermates, will be headed for Rader Racing at Palm Beach in a few weeks.

Mesa Bethann, Craigie Whistler-Tnt Stardust (litter sister to Tnt Star Wars), is figuring out she likes the sprint course at Wheeling. The former Florida stakes racer finsihed 4th in her Grade C. The chartwriter called it "despite bump"
Mesa Guide, Trent Lee-Jr's Sable, had his first official race at WD yesterday. The 80 pounder closed up and finished 2nd in his Grade C contest
Taylor Swift, Lonesome Cry-Mesa Cyndi, owned by  young Skip Potter, showed she could move up from Grade C as she won a C handily at Derby Lane
Mesa Delite, Stans Boy Flyer-Karmic Destiny, owned by Frank Bean, has gotten over the shock of being shipped to the corn belt  LOL  she ran a nice race to send home the show purse in Grade B at Dubuque
Mesa Budget, that superstar spinter belonging to Joe Watson, clocked another Grade A win for his kennel
And last but not least, Ole Fred wins another one!! Known to his owners Rob and Kathy Cross as SWD Ghost Rider, Fred cpncluded his J race by surging at the wire and winning by 3 at JC.

Tempo keeps on running hard

Mesa Tempo, who belongs to Jim Jackson of Thorndale, TX, continues to send home the bacon from the 3/8ths course at PB. This weekend the Tempo Petrocelli son scored a second in a TC 660 race
Mesa Explanation, still getting her racing legs back up to speed, came in 3rd in a Grade B race for Joe Watson's kennel. The chartwriter called it "showed despite trouble"
Mesa Bling Bling, after her sustained layoff, came back and popped off a win
And Mike Tozzo's Mesa Catherine sent home the place purse at SOKC in Grade C

more racing updates

Mesa Bethann, Craigie Whistler-Tnt Stardust, has hit the paysheet at Wheeling. The young stakes racer had run 3/8ths in Florida but it's now that she is in 5/16ths in W Va that she has hit a stride to send home a paycheck
Taylor Swift, Lonesome Cry-Mesa Cyndi, won a Grade D race at Derby Lane. She hangs tough in D, wins one and then drops back after trying her luck in Grade C. She'd probably be a monster at Flagler or Hollywood, the stretch at St Pete is more than she likes
Mesa Budget won another Grade A for owner Joe Watson
and Mesas Advantage, Lonesome Cry-Dress followed suit as he also won another Grade A. That win gives the Dress Up son a 28-8-6-7-3 record at Victoryland. Advantage is owned by Frank Bean
And speaking of Dress Up, her Slammer kids are getting rave reviews from the trainer in TX. They are just a month away from heading to the Rader kennel. Right now...and this could change again...the brindle female, the one for sale, is the best of the 3. Don't miss out. She is $2800 this month, will be $3000 when she hits the track.

Racing updates

Mesa Doubletiger, Odd Tiger-Mesa Jessie, won another race for owner Bruce De Gilio. Double, who races for the Connell kennel at Orange Park, came right back after her win to finish second in her Grade C contest
Gil's Maryland, Trent Lee-Jr's Sable, is another of that litter who prefers 3/8ths.
Racing for owners Dave Cottle and Steve Gilster in Gilster's kennel at OP, Maryland surged at the wired to win a 660 race
Dp's Blue Moon, the Silver Condor son, won another Grade A at Flagler. I can't wait for his mama to come in season
Mesa Cityslicker, demonstrating again that she really likes her new digs at Flagler, closed in the stretch in her second race to score a 3rd in Grade C. City races for the Campbell kennel there.

I'll post more updates tomorrow.

Explanation wins one; Dp's Blue Moon now has a Mesa connection; Michael Somers reserves a pup

Talk about contrasts! Mesa Explanation has had a tough road in racing. She qualified at Twin River, didn't like Palm Beach and has recently been sent to Ebro to my friend Joe Watson so she can get up in grade.
Well, the Lonesome Cry-Mesa Cyndi daughter has found that track to her liking.
She went box to wire to win her Grade C by 5 lengths. She showed both her early foot and late kick. Watch this one to move confidently into top grade and graduate to major track to run with the big dogs.
Then there is Dp's Blue Moon, Ion No Doubt-Silver Condor, who was not bred by me. In fact, I've never seen the dog in person.
But thanks to my friendship with Condor's owners, George and Karen Heise, I was able to acquire Condor and have her moved to TX. She is resting comfortably on Jimmy Brymer's farm in Thorndale while we wait for her come in season.
The plan is to take her to either Kiowa Sweet Trey or Flying Hydrogen for a proven bloodline cross.
Her race record at Southland is outstanding and the infusion of the early speed blood of the Cobblepot line boys will add another dimension.

Congrats to Michael Somers for reserving one of the Dodgem By Design-Jnb Goodtime Gal pups.
Goodie is due in about a month. Her first litter, by Craigie Whistler, is getting rave reviews from the trainer.
Taking her to the top sire in the country sure won't hurt anything.
Reserve yours now if you want to race in the big time

FRED breaks maiden!!; Mesa Tempo hits the paysheet again; Congrats to Peter and Lelethe

SWD Ghost Rider, "FRED" to his owners Rob and Kathy Cross, a Coldwater Keelin-Fuzzys Tea Party son, broke his maiden at JCKC. Fred rushed to the wire from his place position at the final turn to accomplish the win for his proud owners.
Mesa Tempo, Tempo Petrocelli-Mesa Cyndi, continues to demonstrate his talent over the 3/8ths course. Tempo, owned by Jim Jackson, sent home the show finisher's purse in a TC 660 race at Palm Beach. It's only Tempo's second official race at that distance.

Congrats to Peter and Lelethe Frith-Carnabucci on their purchase of Mesa All In. All is one of the CTW Legendary-Back Taxes pups being raised by Phyllis Shuffield on her farm in Cameron, Texas
